I realise these are pretty appalling photos, and I apologise for that. However that isn’t the point, the top photo is of a Fieldfare, which is actually incredibly rare to see this far south and at this time of year. The second is a juvenile Starling, losing his fluffy baby feathers to give way for the speckled stomach you can see. Also, spot the sparrow! My life’s so boring.
Anyway, these were taken with a Tamron 70-300mm lens, while I was hanging out of my window like an escaping convict. I have however thought of a way to bring the birdies closer, which is to chuck bread on top of my conservatory, which conveniently lies under my bedroom window. I will try it this week and post the results, if I get any.
